Challenge:

As a property with 411 units, over 1300 students, spread over 104 acres, touring or creating replacement credentials was time and labor-intensive.

Touring: Touring the property to create new or replacement credentials averaged 20 minutes and could take as long as 30 minutes in the farthest locations, which can be a hassle at best, and dangerous at worst, especially with the whims of Pennsylvania weather.
Credential managing: Maintaining control of all credentials for safety and security of all Residents could get especially hectic when turning units for the new school year.

Solution:

The STRATIS Access Management and Control Platform enabled the existing hardware (Schlage Electronic Door Locks) to solve all of management’s challenges. STRATIS installed its platform that includes No-Tour Credential Management as well as the Access Management and Control to replace the previously existing access management software to improve efficiency by as much as 90 percent.

STRATIS also increased safety and security for residents and staff, by ensuring only one authorized credential per bedroom or office. Because The Heights focuses on ease-of-use, the STRATIS platform was a perfect fit, as it powers credential creation from a remote office via tablet. This eliminates touring, or physically visiting each door for programming.
